1933 Founded by Kurt Hammesfahr
   
1949 Kurt Willemse joins the company.
Development of photography and chemigraphy for the printing of books.
Setting up of a graphic studio, an own engraving establishment and a die-cutting facility.
   
1955 For the production of high-quality labels, packaging and embossed printing new and
modern presses are purchased.
   
1966 Beginning of heat transfer printing on a roll or sheets for high-quality labels,
packaging as well as printing materials. Only a few printing companies are able to offer this high-quality print at this time in Germany.
   
1971 The creation of an offset printing department. With machines from Heidelberger and
Faber & Schleicher we are able to enhance our printing offering.
   
1978 Ditmar Willemse joins the company.
   
1979
For the production of superior labels and letters the renowned company Rudolf B.
Scholz in Wuppertal is taken over.
   
1982 As a result of our expansion and modernization in process planning and the gained
experience over the years in label printing, Hammesfahr is one of the few companies able to manufacture “embossed labels”. Equally the heat transfer printing department meets all high requirements in the areas: labels, envelopes, folded boxes, printed materials etc.
Customers, associated companies and agencies all over Germany and bordering European countries use our range of products today. Our tailor-made solutions attract great interest, an approach rejected by many of our competitors.
   
1988 Due to lack of space in our business premises and limited expansion opportunities in
Solingen Ohligs, the company moves to a new purchased site in Haan, Schallbruch 71.
   
1993 Due to the retirement of Kurt Willemse, his son Ditmar Willemse takes over the
management of the company. He appoints his son Dirk Willemse as Managing Director of the manufacturing company.
   
1996 New technologies in the industry lead to a modernisation of the production facilities.
Hammesfahr invests in a cross-functional manufacturing process. All formats including the 3b format are covered by two new machines.
   
2002 Creation of a digital PDF workflow CTF and our own CAD-prototyping with
integrated sample plotter.
   
2007 Integration of a new CTP facility
Installation of an additional 3b-die cutter with depaneling
Initial operation of the most modern printing unit ROLAND 700 HiPrint.
